Globalization

Globalization is a new term that has a significant place in the lifes of the people. It refers to a world which doesn’t have any border betwen its cultures or countries.Whose borders are differant in languages, cultures etc. By globalization world can be defined as a big country.  However being just a country bring some oppurtinity, its  defection is more. A variety of arguments have been put forward about this issue. Some about cultural degenerations, and some are about economical situations. Despite the the widely claimed benefits of globalizations, its degenarations are more and  some precaution must be taken.

It has been argued that globalization provide a great trade adventage on all over the world. Its major features are capitalism expansions, global labor division, migration of financial, human and production resources over  the planet, standardization of legislation, economic and technological processes, as well as removing the borders between various countries. These features do not have any efficencies for a normal person.These processes are just for the sake of huge international companies. By the globalization they could reach where they want to reach. For example the huge market or foreign goods in the United States creates jobs overseas and keeps foreign workers employed. Similarly, the health of the U.S. economy depends on how well American products sell in foreign countries. Another important concern about  globalization is supplying  a huge labor in high populated and poor countries. Wolf claims that ability of such firms to reduce their operation abroad creates their countries own unemployment problem(2004). In conclusion this system which is named ‘free trade’ is just for capitalism to satisfy huge companies.

One another boon of globalization is cominication. Cominication over  the world has created English as international language as a result of necasserry. It dominantly spreads and swallows little languages. Maybe all the other language will be lost by this way. Also national languages eat little languages in this time. Some researches show that lots of language spoken in Turkey are nearly to be lost. If it continue like this,  we will listen to the same music, eat the same food, wear the same clothes. According to Galindo, many countries, in fact, feel threatened by Western culture and consequently, are acting out to preserve their own identities(2009). This  actions are no more useful, globalization will swallow every authentic  values.

Some claims that by the globalization people around the world moved one place to another everyday, enchanging manners, foods, likes, ideas. World free communication system internet connect people all over the world. Differences are being shared unlimitlessly. However these could seen attractive, by the time goes these differences create conflict betwen people. Religious conflict, cultural unification, and  racism  become inevitable.

In conclusion,although globalization temporally could serve some oppurtinities, its degenerations are in deep. It slowly gnaws our cultural worthes.  When our cultural  worthes completelly lost, there will be no way to come back.
